Opord Group / Privacy
How Opord Group Ltd collects and uses personal information.
Who we are
Opord Group Ltd ("Opord Group", "we") is a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 15002017). We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice. Contact us about privacy at contact@opordgroup.com.
What we collect
When you make an enquiry we collect your name, contact details, company (if any) and the details you choose to share about your security requirements. When you apply for a job we collect your name, contact details, the role, your SIA licence type, your experience and the background you give us. When we contact businesses about our services we use business contact details published by those businesses.
How we use it and why
We use enquiry details to respond to you and to plan and quote for services, because you have asked us to (steps before a contract) and, once you are a client, to deliver the contract. We use application details to assess your application, because it is in our legitimate interests to recruit suitable officers, and to meet legal duties such as checking SIA licences. We contact businesses about our services on the basis of our legitimate interests; every such email says who we are and how to opt out, and we stop when asked.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as our email and file storage provider (Microsoft) and our website host, and with officers assigned to an assignment on a need-to-know basis. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not become work for up to 2 years, client records for 6 years after the work ends for legal and accounting reasons, and unsuccessful job applications for 6 months. Opt-out requests are kept on a suppression list so we do not contact you again.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it (including for marketing, which we will stop), or ask us to restrict it. Email contact@opordgroup.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
